I've been taking cold showers for over a month now. As I explained in my previous post on the subject it was difficult at
first, and I was slowly training my body by starting off with slightly warmer water and then turning it down to the 
coldest settings once my body had adjusted. For the last couple of weeks in June I stopped this and just got in the 
shower every morning with it already on the coldest setting. I soon got used to this, so it was time to up the 
challenge once again.

For the last 4 or 5 days I've been getting in the shower with it set to as hot as I can stand which seems to be 
`hot-6` now (interestingly down from where I used to have it  `hot-7` o `hot-8`).

I have been staying in the hot water for a few minutes to ensure the room is steamy and my body is sufficiently exposed 
to the heat. I use this time to apply shampoo and shower gel. Then when I am ready to rinse off I switch the shower down 
to the coldest setting `cold-1`. This does what you'd expect, sudden shock to the system, slightly takes your breath 
away, and then you quickly get used to it. I keep the water on the coldest setting for a couple of minutes whilst I 
fully rinse off. Then I switch the setting back to `hot-6` and let my body heat up again for another minute or so. 

Then I switch back to `cold-1` only this time the shock isn't nearly as bad. It doesn't take my breath away at all. But 
that's not to say nothing's going on, I've definitely noticed a rush of endorphins, an almost light-headed feeling of 
Euphoria. 

After a minute or so I switch back to `hot-6` for another minute and then finally back to `cold-1`. The final time at 
`cold-1` is very different from the first and second times. I've noticed that I barely notice the 
difference with the water temperature at this point. My body despite being blasted with very cold water is glowing. 
I feel like a human radiator. Even upon getting out of the shower where a few weeks ago I was shivering cold and my 
skin stinging and numb at the same time, now instead I'm radiating heat. My skin feels hot to the touch!  

I get out and get dressed to start my day. I'm wide awake, fully alert, actually buzzing. I couldn't consider not doing
this every morning now. Never could I go back to just having a hot shower.

Now I've been doing some research on what exactly is going on and whilst I could talk about it a bit it's not my field 
of expertise obviously so if you are interested in the science then check out the video at bottom of this post. Dr

I am now considering my next steps to up the ante some more. Sauna and Polar Plunge (ice baths) are the obvious final 
level bosses, but I don't have a Sauna or Polar Plunge at my house which makes this difficult. I have considered how I 
could do this at home. I'm not completely against purchasing an x-ray Sauna blanket, but I would like to assess their 
safety first. Something doesn't sit right with me about blasting my body with yet more EMF radiation... If anybody has 
experience using these I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on their safety. If I did buy one I could see myself 
going from the sauna blanket into an ice-cold bath initially, and maybe I'd look at buying a polar plunge or converting
a chest freezer to make one.

I'll let you know if I do decide to do any of this. Maybe I'll just find a gym that has both Sauna and Cryo facilities. 

I'm going to end this post now the same way as I ended the last one. Who even am I anymore? 😂😂
