So I discovered and binged a new show over the last couple of evenings, and I have to tell you about it!  

If you've not heard of Upload yet, it's a new sci-fi comedy tv show from Amazon. It's doing pretty well over on 
[IMDB](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7826376/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1).

This is their synopsis:

> A man is able to choose his own afterlife after his untimely death, by having his consciousness uploaded into a 
> virtual world. As he gets used to his new life and befriends his angel (real world handler), questions about his death arise.

You might be thinking what I did... "hmm this sounds like Black Mirror" or more specifically,
"this sounds like a rip-off of the excellent Black Mirror episode: [San Junipero](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4538072/)" 
but honestly it's so not. Upload is so much more than that. 

It's funny at times, very funny, but it's also very dark and actually pretty terrifying when you think about how 
close we might already be from a technological standpoint to enabling the things demonstrated in this show. More than 
once whilst watching it me and my gf said things like "I'd rather be dead"!

Without spoiling it too much, during the show the people in the living real world strap on a VR headset and enter the 
digital afterlife. What made this even more creepy was the fact that me and my gf did the same thing. We 
strapped on our VR headsets and watched the entire show in VR in a virtual cinema using [BigScreen](https://www.bigscreenvr.com/).
It definitely gave the show an extra something 😂

I won't say much more other than if you've not seen it yet, watch it now! It's dope.
