## ~~WOKE~~ BROKE

This woke agenda needs to stop. It's literally seeping into everything and making everything suck. I really struggle to
understand why people are so keen to push it, and why they cannot seem to fathom the damage to society that it's
causing.

Actually part of what I just said is a lie. I don't struggle to understand why people push it, nor do I struggle to
fathom why they don't recognise the damage it's causing. It's quite simple really, social media and the desire to fit in
rather than stand out. The indoctrination begins now in childhood, in primary and secondary schools, then it's really
hammered home in college and universities.

Putting that aside it really does suck, and it's ruining absolutely everything.

For instance this weekend I watched the new HBO documentary
[Woodstock 99: Peace, Love and Rage](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15004156/). This is a documentary created in now in
the year 2021 about a music festival that took place in 1999. The same year I left high school. I was around 16 at the time, 
I turn 40 next year.

I was enjoying the documentary at first, that was until the commentators started to talk and the virtue signalling
started to flow. What they _should_ have been talking about was how the festival goers were completely let down by the
festival organisers. How the security was practically non-existent and how pathetic the facilities were.

Instead, they blamed the following:

* White Privilege
* Racism
* Sexual Exploitation of Women
* Evil White Men
* Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit)
* Anthony Kiedis (Red Hot Chilli Peppers)

I won't go into crazy detail, seriously give it a watch yourselves, but the Racism claims during the DMX set were
completely laughable. DMX killed his set, had the entire crowd eating out of the palms of his hands. The majority White
crowd I will add. They loved DMX, everyone did. RIP.

The documentary then attacking Fred Durst for doing a typical Limp Bizkit set at a festival is just dumb. Seriously
watch the Limp Bizkit set from Woodstock 99 then go and watch the one
from [Lollapalooza 2021](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8sU46LorQI)
and try to spot the difference.

I seriously lost all interest in the documentary very quickly. Trying to view a 22-year-old event through the lens of
today's culture of wokeness is just stupid. It could have been a great documentary, but instead they went woke, and it
was honestly awful to listen to.

Every aspect of the event was labelled, but what they didn't mention once was that for the most part, people were having
a good time. They were having fun. Life was very different in 1999. Life was fun, people knew how to go out and actually
enjoy themselves.

I am so glad that my generation got the freedom to enjoy life without worrying what everybody else might be thinking.
